TCP 2012 was held on March 9 and 10.
This year we invited Dr. Shoichi Takahashi (Hitotsubashi University) and Dr. Charles Yang (University of Pennsylvania). Dr. Takahashi talked on asymmetries in movement in terms of Case. Dr. Yang discussed exceptions to productive regularities in the grammar and the learning of them.
We also had several oral and poster presentations dealing with topics such as linguistic theory, L1 and L2 acquisition, and language processing. The invited talks and each presentation inspired lively discussions with the participants.
This year, we had many participants from the begging, and at the reception held on Day1 everyone enjoyed informal conversations with other attendees.
We are delighted that the conference was over smoothly and successfully (though last year we were forced to cancel most of the program because of the earthquake). We thank the invited speakers, participants, and other concerned parties for helping TCP2012.
We look forward to your continuous assistance and meeting you at TCP 2013 on March 8 and 9.
